I bought one of these last time it dropped. I'd advise everyone interested to stay away from this product. My file transfers come to a halt a few GB into the transfer each time. There's no way to resume the transfer and the hard drive just sits there and hangs. I always have to hard reset to make the drive detectable again. Checked online for solutions, and someone mentioned that there was a firmware update. TT already took this product off their site so it was impossible to get the update :(
After being frustrated at what seemed like a good deal on a pair of hard drive docks, I bought an Anker dock and had no issues with it so far. If you're looking to transfer large files each time, then this dock isn't for you.
