How much do you estimate the water cooling for this would cost?

Ash6sfor all the fittings piping waterblocks pumps etc... you’re looking at a decent chunk of money

Ash6sThermaltake sells a hardline kit and a soft line kit, drop about 300$ on that and your "good to go" I ended up buying many more fitting on top of the kit, I probly spent 380 on watercooling

IsaaruI'm sorry, that's just not accurate. The waterblocks for the CPU and GPU cost $100-200 each, pump/reservoir $100+, radiator(s) ~$100+ each, and we haven't even gotten to the various fittings, tubing, and other accessories. I would guesstimate a minimum of 500 to build a full open loop. To be clear, I am not trying to scare anyone away from doing water-cooling. Don't let it intimidate you. It's fun and the results are a cool running generally quite system but it is not cheap.

WhichwaydidheGoThat's basicly what I said300-400$ plus extra fittings make thing alot easier at the cost of 10$ a piece that will add up quick. But isnt neccessary if you get good with the bends. But if you want to be not picky fine, it doesn't cost anything to cool your this case. This question is better asked about a CPU. This case it's self isnt huge it wont require any more tubing then normal. Long as your not running copper pipes the case itself shouldn't effect the cost of water cooling.

Ash6sMy suggestion is not to water cool. I have a Le Grand Macho RT from Thermalright that cools my CPUs FAR better than anyone water cooling solution I've used but without the added risk of liquid spilling over everything. It even works well passively (no fan), but I didn't want to chance it without one, so used the one that came with it and it's very quiet. I've run a 12 core FX chip for well over a year with that thing and my temps dropped from 65C max on load to 46C max on load coming from a Corsair H100i V2 water cooler that happened to also be much louder. The air cooler ended up being more effective, cheaper, easier to install, more reliable, and quieter. Installation wasn't hard (although the fins are sharp, but they included a glove and a screwdriver for installation), but the main downside is that it's big coming off the chip, so your case would need to be able to fit it. I had it in a Dark Base 600, and not it's sitting in my Enthoo Evolv X. I've used both Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and Tuniq TX-4 with it and both get great results. https://www.amazon.com/Grand-Macho-RT-fan-TY-147B/dp/B01BCLXO7Q

psicloneI would just point out that an open loop system is much better than the H100, you can't really compare the two. A Closed Loop Cooler (CLC, like the H100) has it's place especially in small form factor builds. Since the thermal performance between the is similar, the air cooler vs CLC decision should be based on space and cost.

WhichwaydidheGoAn open loop system is something that's going to cost more in time and effort, especially once you get it in and then realize you need to get to something it may be blocking. I don't disagree with you on the possible effectiveness, but that also depends on how it's designed. Unless you really need it, I would still suggest an air cooler, but those are 2 sides of a camp that people just tend to sit on. Do you find yours to be quieter than a strictly air cooled solution? It would be neat to see a picture.

psicloneYes air cooling is definitely easier and cheaper. As far as sound goes, in my experience the big difference is with the GPU. When you throw a block on it and stress it, it's a completely different world. Especially if you have a blower card. Fortunately blowers seem to be going the way of the Dodo. I didn't notice the change from an air cooled CPU as much. Admittedly that might be just because I find the GPU that annoying. I don't have any pictures. It was just a basic CPU, GPU, and pump/res with a 360 rad and Tygon tubing. When I upgraded last year I transplanted it into my dad's PC. It made him happy but it has taken me a lot longer to acquire the bits n pieces to replace it than I expected.
