I've owned every release by Thinksound (half thanks to the MD bags) and I've noticed that microphonics have gotten better throughout the MS and TS series. My daily driver used to be the MS01 for about a year, then the MS02, then moved on to the TS03, then the Pinnacle PX (w/ portable amp), and now the NuForce EDC. In between all of those I'd pick up old releases through MD bags and I love the exclusive TS01.1 walnuts. My First Harmonics are still my immediate recommendation for something with phenomenal sound stage. Going back to compare the Thinksounds to the PX and EDC, the first thing I noticed is still the microphonics, although granted that's only when wearing the them normally, not around my ear like the PX and EDC. I'd really love to see this be improved a bit more if possible, since I can hear the cable bouncing when at the gym or doing any activity. I'm glad there's no mic, also. The TS03 mic has been redesigned but it still gets caught on zippers and buttons. Thinksound's customer service has always been phenomenal (pretty sure Aaron is the only person I've ever spoken to here or over email), and I remember snagging the On1 on-ears when they had an overstock, only to purchase the On2 headphones probably a year later here, and they're my go-tos for something portable. My first IEMs I bought were the MS01s years ago back in college just when doing research on Amazon, so I really do love this brand. It's nice to see them grow like this.

rhinocerosbladderThe first gen Rain was pretty good. I scored the second gen a couple months ago, clarity lacks big time. The On2 I demo'd a bit and it was pretty good. The ieb6 was way to sibilant and harsh, would never recommend it.
Wb650I have the Rains, I just haven't rotated them in yet. I think I'll give them a shot.

Wb650Agreed on both the Rain2 and IEB6. TS03 and Rain3 are much better though, IMO.
asigalMan I must be the only one who liked the IEB6, hahaha. :)

rhinocerosbladderI have the ts01.1 walnuts and have been using them for over 18 months now.. Every earphone i pick up i cant seem to want to listen to more than those :/ Have any of the newer models you tried impressed you as much or exceeded (more or less what im looking to find). I just think its tilted to a more 'fun' signature over a lot of others that designate they have a 'reference' sound.
Wb650It was a preference that people were having at the time. Believe it or not the rain3 is our best seller now. This USP1 is similar to the original rain and ms01 with a tighter bass response. The most common complaint I received was bass and too harsh of treble on those so I am trying to do a cross between both on this one. I can control the sound much better since I am making them myself. off to soldering! -Aaron, CEO/Engineer - thinksound
rhinocerosbladdermany liked it. I just don't have time to manage the brand (right now).
thinksoundMan I still love them, they're my main gym IEMs to this day!
