Anyone that already has these and the BL-03’s. How much more bass is this than the 03’s? I’m no bass head but almost 5% of my library loves a bass head headphone and I’d love to replace the 03’s.

Bigpapiverg0nNo I’m saying I know for sure the quality of the Thor is so much better than the 03 and in that vain the bass on the Thor is better than the 03. What I am wondering is if it’s MORE bass than the 03, not just better bass than the 03. I have half a dozen sets with better bass than the 03 but no IEM with more bass.

BykovovichMy IEMs with more bass than my BL03 include: - TFZ No.3 more quantity, quality a little better, I don’t like the overall tuning as much though. - UrbanFun YBF, more quantity, much better quality and definition, QC is very sketchy so caution recommended. - iBasso IT00, more quantity of sub bass, better quality, excellent tuning that’s different from, but IMO just as good as BL03’s tuning. - FiiO FD1 (Jade Audio EA1 is reportedly the same IEM), has less bass in stock form, but a small piece of micropore tape over the vent overlying the DD turns it into a bass monster, with better bass quality, though it may be too much mid bass with the mod.

joeftanThat’s exactly what I am looking for. Thanks a lot Joeftan. Which would you say is your favorite package as a whole?

BykovovichOut of those 4, my favorite by a good margin, is the UF YBF. The overall tuning is really good, with clear midrange and treble, well extended and airy highs, but no sibilance or shouty upper midrange (just shy of it IMO). Detail retrieval is very good for a single DD IEM, and texture abounds throughout the frequency range. The big caveat is that it has been a gamble regarding QC and consistency. I purchased the newest iteration, in the “white box”, that I think only comes with the beryllium coated driver. If you can buy from somewhere where you can return/exchange it easily, then I think it is completely worth it. I think the next best is the EA1, due to it’s affordable price, and the ability to modify it to deliver more bass if needed.
