So I just got the monkey boots in a 10... love em ...coulda sized down to a 9.5 though....

AntibacterialJust for reference the kenosha boots fit a good half a size snugger that the portage boots.....so sized perfect for me after all.

Are these quite heavy? I have to do a lot of fast paced walking for work so could do with something comfortable but not too heavy as to fatigue my legs.

Sir_BigzalotCompared to a pair of Echo boots, they're definately not lite, but they're not anything like a pair of Aldens, Vibergs or Whites. My Thorogoods size 8.5 weigh a little over a pound each.

Missed out last time, but these are great boots at an incredible price. I have 2 pair of Thorogoods and echo the sentiments below, wonderful high quality boots.

Anyone familiar with the sole? How durable is it? I looked on line and their web site but could not find anything about this sole composition.

Thorogood are the only work boots I own and wear, look great with selvedge/raw denim.
100% Union Made in America.
I wouldn't take a pair of Red Wing if given to me free.

WNovizarMaybe don’t use them for things they’re not meant for. RW Heritage are simply not work boots. They are good for what they are.

based what you guys are saying i'd like to try a pair of these boots out, just not ones that look like bowling shoes in my opinon, does thorogood show up on MD often?
