Not a deal. The exact same boots can be ordered straight from the manufacturer (via nearby retailers like Milworks) for $195-200, free shipping. And they allow exchanges if you get the wrong size, which Massdrop doesn't.

@TomasV @blouie -- SIZING QUESTION: Red Wing Iron Horse 8111 sized 9 & E2 fit me nicely. Wolverine Classic 1000 Mile sized 10 & D are too long and too tight under the laces. I have high arches and typically need the extra width (or a longer shoe for the width, but not ideal!). Brannock device puts me between 9.5 & 10 and approximately E wide. WHAT SIZE is best in the Thorogood boots???

AnentGood question. The information you gave would put you around the US 9.5 here in the Mondovis. But here's the thing, your width is E, these are a standard D. I'm hoping that the bit of a extra room that you'll get from the 9.5 being somewhere your size 9 Iron Horses and your Wolverines in size 10 will work for you. I'm personally between 9.5 and 10 in the Brannock with a width that's been D and E, and the 9.5's here fit me perfectly with room to spare to wear with thick socks. Hope this helps and other people can chime in! Thanks for your interest on this drop~

slb1961I just received my Woolrich Yankees today. $89 CAD! Amazon 'used' i.e. returned item that was still brand new. Nice leather, true to size.

Regarding sizing, is following this chart correct http://www.theunionbootpro.com/perfectfit.cfm ? When people recommend sizing half a size down for these boots, are they recommending to size down from your measured size or from what you weared before (sneakers etc)? It would be a real pain ordering the wrong size.
