Some people actually have to wear these to construction jobs or whatever people are supposed to be doing in these boots.. So I presume they wear thick socks in the winter with them. I wear dress socks (thin) with my boots, so that's probably part of it. But all of the Thorogoods I've tried on were big for their size. About .5-1 size bigger I thought. At least compared to a common tennis shoe like a Converse All-Star or an Allen Edmonds dress shoe.
