Mkay0219Sorry for your disappointment, but it seems like it stems from lack of information rather than the product. Other readers need to realize how off base the prior comment is.
The cartridge is a Hi-Tec-C, one of the most popular options out there for writing / drafting aficionados. Any pen cartridge has the potential to leak; the Hi-Tec-C is not particularly prone to this problem. I've had a $15 Mont Blanc refill ruin clothing by leaking, but never a Hi-Tec-C. It's distributed as the G-Tec-C in the USA, and is commonly available. There are many sources for refills online and, literally at this very moment, Massdrop has a drop for a set of 10.
My short review:
I use mine (original finish w/clip) day-in day-out for clinical notes. Never once has it ruined a suit/shirt by leaking. Replacement cartridges are easily and cheaply available. The 0.3mm is fantastic, my girlfriend loves the second one I got her for lab notes, and I'm getting another for backup. I definitely recommend adding the clip. The Ti finish of the original is very nonreflective and will show the first few marks, but over time burnishes into a very nice stable, uniform, half-matte patina.
My shorter review:
This is, without qualification, the best Hi-Tec-C host available for EDC.
JDWarnerWhere do you buy your refills from? I used jetpens to get the first couple, but their shipping is almost double the price of a refill. I would love to get some of the less common colors in thinner tip sizes, but I haven't really been able to find retailers who sell them, other than jetpens. Here's hoping you are also in the US.
