Just got mine. I haven't tried picking anything yet but after assembly I'm not feeling great about this.
It's not clear to me if I'm supposed to be using all four washers or not. I'm using all four now, and things tightened okay, but it's not flat -- the side with the picks is wider, due to the picks + washers vs. plastic spacer + washers. Maybe I'm not supposed to use all four washers, but there's no indication.
The picks seem to be high quality, but the screws are definitely not -- simply using my widest flat-head screwdriver on one side and my finger holding it on the other, the screws were instantly stripping as I tightened. I don't think I'll be able to disassemble/assemble this more than one or two more times before the screws go completely -- much less tightening this as it loosens up, since I could only use my finger to hold the other side in place.
I read that the quick detach tension wrench is supposed to somehow stay affixed, but I can't figure out how. It's not wide enough to fit around the plastic spacer, and there's no room on the other post after the picks + two washers.
Edit: It seems like the best way to do it is to have all picks + quick-remove pick on one post and two washers + the plastic spacer on the other post, leaving two washers off of it (maybe those are useful if you are using it to hold keys). The screws stripped more the second time I tightened them, though -- and they're not even very tight. :-/

jefferaiThe picture of it here shows all the picks, the emergency tensioner, and 2 washers on one side and two washers, the quick detach tensioner, and the thick washer on the other end. The quick detach slides in between the two small washers. My large washer doesn't fit so I haven't been able to test that fitting, but it looks great in the picture =]

rjorgensonI missed that picture -- I'm not sure then what the spacer is for. But I'll try setting it up that way.
Of course, this means another unscrew/screw with more inevitable stripping. :-/

jefferaiI've screwed/unscrewed mine a few times, I used a dime and haven't stripped it yet. You could try that.
jefferaiMessage me on my website, I'll clear up any issues you may have. Looks like I need to make a video.
rjorgensonPerfect! - well not that your spacer doesn't fit, but the assembly part was perfect!
jefferaiYou all can set it up however you see fit, you can add your house key, etc. The spacer is only there to fill up space, you can use keys as that space, or a lanyard, etc. I can get you new screws, message me on my website.
rjorgensonI use a large bladed standard screwdriver when making them, but a coin should work ok - the screws are from screwpost.com - they are Aluminum binding posts. I have Titanium screws in the works, but my lathe is broke right now.

Tactical_KeychainsHey Guys,
If you are having issues with your TiKeY + TiPiK, please email support@massdrop.com so we can properly handle the situation since it looks like it is an very small group of people. If you are having issues with building your TiKeY + TiPiK, @KickstarterBrad will be posting a YouTube video shortly on how to put one together. :)
Thanks again for all your support.
Andy
andyJust made the video, will get it uploaded soon, my internet is slooooow.

Tactical_KeychainsHi...thanks for the response. I think what confused me was that I watched this video:

and in that video they use four washers, so I figured that the washers were supposed to be used with the picks, but then had issues with the assembly being lopsided.
Someone pointed out a side-view of the assembled product further down in the drop page, and that made it much clearer how it's supposed to be put together (
search

). This does show washers on the picks side, but it also shows no spacer...so I'd been trying to have washers on the pick side + washers and the spacer on the other side, and not managing to make it work properly.
I know, my own stupid fault, but I can't have been the only person that didn't find it immediately obvious :-)

Tactical_KeychainsMy bladed screwdriver was as large as I have, but immediately caused problems. I will try a coin next time. Unfortunately, since they come in packs of 100 buying two posts off of screwpost.com will cost me $36+ :-)
If you are willing to send me replacements that'd be great. Alternately I'd be happy to toss an appropriate amount of money your way when you have the titanium posts, if you care to reserve a set for me. I don't mind waiting for that to happen as I don't imagine screwing/unscrewing these that often...I'm mostly just worried about having this problem every time it gets a bit loose and needs tightening.
jefferaiI'll send you replacements, that's no problem at all. Titanium may be awhile since my lathe is down. Did you watch my YouTube video that Andy linked in the previous page? The washers will prevent any loosening of the screws in the future.
