Seems a bit power hungry.
Although I own three other IEMs in this price category, ISine LX, BGVP DM6, and KZ AS16, I could not resist this offering from Drop. The online and You Tube reviewers were boundless in their praise. I have to say that unboxing was a pleasant experience. The P1s are beautifully finished, and the included leather case is a smart accessory. I replaced the included 3.5 cable with a Linsoul copper cable with the pentacon (4.4) connector. Using the stock tips for now. The IEMs are on the small side and fit well. I have been using the P1 solely with my Fiio M11. Average volume level needed is about 80% on the LO gain setting. I have not tried to use them with a phone, and would not recommend it, unless you have one of the LG V series. I would describe the sound as natural, warm and relaxed. The high frequencies are there, but off in the distance, particularly in comparison to the BGVP and KZ offerings. There is good separation of the instruments. If you like to follow a good bass line, these are the IEMs for you. Vocals are also fine. Acoustic jazz sounds very good, but rock prefers the vibrancy/immediacy I get from the BGVP. The upside of the P1 tuning is no ear fatigue. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and would recommend it, but if you already have other good IEMs in this territory, this is unlikely to be a vast improvement. Beware the hype beasts.
