Last time I'll buy anything based on Zeos' recommendation. He said no amp needed & was informed by Drop they'd be shipped July 26th & still no sign of them. How do I get out of this purchase?

Schlepster1Theres still 10 days until the 26th. Slow your roll mate. They likely will be late though. All planar magnetics benefit from higher current amps.

BlackbettyR1I asked for a cancellation & refund. I'm not buying a power source for a cheap pair of iem's. Just wanted something to run through my phone & this fucking Zeos said that was possible. I know he's on Drop's payroll so this is blatant misrepresentation boyeeeee.

Schlepster1lol, did you even watch the review? In the first 10 seconds he walks on with a massive portable amp glued to a very expensive DAP. He says that the things he was hearing was possibly due to running these IEM's with a monster DAC/AMP on a balanced cable. He is not misrepresenting anything he showed you exactly what he was using and even mentions how he got the results that he did, which is more than most reviewers do.

Schlepster1Needing an amp and benefiting from an amp are two different things.

cell201135I'm aware of everything you stated Cap Obvious. He also said a power source wasn't necessary but I'm reading in this forum that's not the case.

cell201135It's also a fact that at 10 mW 20 ohm, sqrt(0.01/20) = 0.022 A, 0.01/0.02236067977 = 0.447 volt. And then wouldn't that be enough or spec wrong? Then again impedance likely changes with frequency and maybe 10 mW is an average over a longer time period whereas for a short while they can handle more.
