I love this IEM w/ my Topping NX4, but it sounds like crap w/ my Audioquest Dragonfly Red. Anyone else has this problem? Is it because it is a planar IEM and requires more juice?
NX4 is a more expensive peice of hardware, almost double the cost of the red. And yes, these need power.
For me the Topping NX4 is not loud enough. Nor an XD-05. But an Onkyo DAC-HA200 gives decent loudness. (And an old FiiO X1 surprisingly too.)
Thanks. Checking out Onkyo DAC-HA200 now.
How warm does Onkyo DAC-HA200 get? NX4 gets too warm for me during the summer.
I let my Phone play DSD256 files which are probably more demanding than MP3 or FLAC files for more than an hour at maximum level and did not detect any warming at all on the Onkyo DAC-HA200
My FiiO Q1 arrived. And it produces a higher volume than the Topping NX4 or my xDuuo XD-05. And it is by far the smallest and lightest of them all (especially compared to the XD-05 that is practically only movable but not portable in my eyes). I only whish it had an USB-C connector instead of that old fashioned micro USB.
