There is absolutely no bass and very soft on the midrange. Treble is good. I could not recommend this product.

Laddy1055You ought to take the E1DA PowerDAC v2 (PDv2) for a spin before you give up on your P1. The PDv2, when used with its companion app, HP Toy, will vastly improve the P1's anemic bass. There is a preset for the P1 in the app. The presets are meant to automagically bring a given headphone/IEM to Harman curve.

Laddy1055Hi Laddy, I have the powerdac & P1 combination. It's true, there is too much bass for me with the preset with harman curve. In fact, i dont like this preset at all. Just boost the bass with +3 a +4 db and i'm done. This setup gets equal runtime as my sennheiser hd600 with otl tube amplifier. I get more detail, speed, imaging and bass from the p1. The Sennheiser is more liquid and lush, has more warmth and a bigger soundstage. I like them both! Before, i didnt liked the p1 either with another dac/amp (smsl m6). The p1 also needs some burn in time and i needed to get used to the planar/detailed sound. But now; i get relaxed and sleepy with the Senn and tube and i get excited and energized from the p1 and e1da :) And sorry for my bad english! I suck at other languages :p My other references; Grado SR80, Audio Technica ATH-M50, Sony WH-H900N. Those are way inferior to the senn and tinhifi (to my ears)

SquizoThanks for the review. I missed the "bad english" part, though :).
