Just got my pair in today. I'm no audiophile but I like sound, and everyone has their preference.
I listen to mostly Hip-Hop, Rap, and other bass-heavy stuff, as well as tracker music and chiptunes.
All music was FLAC or tracker played with MilkyTracker. FLAC played with VLC or Vanilla ( F-droid app ).
They definitely are bright. And at first they were a bit lacking in the low end and also a bit muddy at really low frequencies ( 50Hz and below ) especially at higher volumes.
If you like bass cover the front port on these. It makes them bass cannons, and the extra pressure on the front of the 10mm driver helps it return faster, which makes the detail in the super low end a lot cleaner. The balanced armature provides excellent clarity and separation in the higher frequencies, although some of the mid range detail is lost.
The cord seems pretty good, especially at this price range. The coils are a bit loose near the TRS connector, but the rest of the cord is nicely wound. It also has pretty low microphonics. There is a bit of noise but nothing distracting, at least to me. The MMCX connectors are tight and can be a bit fiddly to get in, but I'd rather them be tight than have them fall out or come disconnected.
I haven't done any EQ to remove the brightness, but so far it hasn't bothered me at all.
Upon first impression the build quality is excellent for the price. I just hope they hold up. I think they should drop the expensive box ( How much did that thing cost? Had to be at least $5, I've seen the factories in China and the fake leather stuff isn't cheap. ) and sell these at like $40 all the time.
Unlike others, my foam tips came in perfect condition. Not squished at all.
I am not sure what "extra" foam tips I was supposed to receive, but I only got the tips shown on the drop page.
The delay didn't bother me, I'm just glad to have these and for a good price.
Overall I am very happy with the T3s.
Edit: 10 months in, no issues so far. Still enjoying these.
Would recommend to a friend.
The last photo of the selection on the drop page displays like 6 different pairs of tips. If you didn't receive those, contact Tin Audio. They're worth having. I've swapped mine out for different occasions enough times to make it worth it to me.
Yeah, I got 3 pairs of silicon, 3 pairs of rubber and 2 sizes of foam. So all the tips shown on the drop page are what I received.
They said they would include extra foam tips ( I think the Blue ones from the T2/Pro ) for the shipping delay.
Quote from Lillian "We really appreciate your great support and patience. As a great thanks to all of you, we would like to provide you one additional foam tips as a special gift that can be used for TIN HIFI T2 & TIN HIFI T3. It will be shipped out together with your order. "
Oh, good eye. I hadn't read that. I definitely did not receive said gift.
