What is a good read in IEM's I have only used regular earbuds and I'm currently looking into getting these ones, what are the pros/cons of them? If anyone can help, I'd gladly appreciate it!

Maximiliano545If you like the sound signature you can take it pretty darn loud before it distorts (at least louder than I'd use it). It does take a fair amount of current to power (relatively speaking from portables) but at least you don't have to worry about not being able to supply enough voltage from your portable device (having enough voltage is usually the issue with portables). It also means if you got any sort of hum in your device you're going to hear it. I got about 24-40 hours of burn in with pink noise. They are still a bit sibilant/harsh to me - maybe not for you. I know I like my treble region veiled. I haven't got a chance to use them much on the go (with simple mp3 player EQ's) but with an amazon fire -5dB at 3K and 8K was good enough for Netflex. Admitedly, I like exaggerated bass so I keep that a few dB higher and the T3's take it. The ear tips (which is huge deal for IEM's) that it comes with is pretty darn good. I don't feel the need to get after market tips for it. Most IEMs I've bought in the past this is usually a big problem for comfort. The good tips (foam) come in large and medium size I think. Sadly they often slowly slide out of my ears over time barely providing a weak seal. I have to smoosh them a certain way for best results. Keeping the seal is huge if you want to hear bass. The foam tips was easy to swap. The other silicone tips it comes with I couldn't manage to put them on for the life of me so I gave up after 10 min or so. I guess I need training or something. Feels bad man. The cable isn't dainty and doesn't really suffer from it carrying a physical vibration up into your ears. It does, but only as much as I'd expect therefor it's very acceptable. It might be a little thick/hefty to some but not hearing the vibrations and rubbing against your clothes or from simply moving around is a big deal. This was the first mmcx cable I've used and connecting it the first time was a little worrisome. Who knows if it's on right. Overall I'm happy with the purchase but it wasn't the divine sound quality I was hoping for. It sounds like a what I'd expect for the price from a quality product. For my needs, I probably won't be buying anything else (IEM's/EarBuds) until these break.

Michael-QThanks for the comprehensive reply, I'll read a bit more on them and decide if I should buy these, the eartips are a huge deal for me since I tend to wear headphones/earbuds for a long period of time and having them as comfortable as they get is huge.

Maximiliano545Tbh, the best way to answer if this is good for you is to know what sound signature you enjoy. For example, I really enjoy a slightly warm/ darkish sound signature so these would be terrible for me. Again, it will really depend on what you like. I believe these are v shaped and I've read that the highs can be quite sharp which make me want to think these iems could be a bit fatiguing to some. As for eartips, you're always free to buy other eartips and use those if the stick ones don't feel comfortable. For example, Ivw been using the RHA dual flange tips on every iem that I use as I find them to be very comfortable and they seal fairly well being dual flange. So yeah, look around/ try out different eartips if the stock ones aren't comfortable for long periods of time.
