Headfonics review of the P2: https://headfonics.com/tin-hifi-p2-review/ "If you are looking for a timbre-realistic, and highly resolving IEM with an assertive mid-bass presence, the Tin HiFi P2 captures those sentiments remarkably well. However, unwanted treble peaks and their current-hungry transducers are quirks to be strongly considered."

The two reviews that I read/saw have not been favorable:
  1. By Antdroid, a reviewer that I give a lot of merit to, for his reviews. He tried mods to tame the beast, but the beast won. https://www.audiodiscourse.com/2020/10/tin-hifi-p2-iem-review.html
  2. In BGGAR's YouTube video, there's a screen overlay (in the very beginning), which rated the P2

Those shells are hideous and look like my cat’s litter granules. Hard pass. 😂

In the era TWS, and drastic decline of IEMs market. It's supposed to be a $50-$100 rated item. Good luck with sales lol.

KumonomukouThere's still a very big market for high end wired iems. Case in point, the various jvc products here on drop selling mad numbers. They aren't for everyone, but tws just haven't caught up to the sound quality of wired iems even half their price.

KumonomukouWired IEMs are targeted towards audio enthusiasts who are not into "consumer-ish" TWS sound quality.

My P1 died after 3 hours of burIn time... on pretty moderate volume. New balanced cable is hardly a dealbreaker to jump in again especially for this price. Shuoer Tape Pro is my choice 24/7

With the QC the P1 had $300 is a pretty steep asking price, also not fond of the change to 2 pin. I do like that it comes with a balanced cable out of the box though.

What's the grit on the polisher? It looks like the thing could scratch more then each other.

My P1's are quite fatiguing from the air frequencies and I am not treble sensitive. I cannot imagine what these will sound like. The bass bump is welcome though. For the price I will hard pass and probably grab the Massdrop Universal IEM and the Shouer Tape Pro.

It’s not a new model. Same tapes you love but much more tuning options. Slightly more open sound. If they show up on drop they’re as good as ordered for me.
