An audiophile mainstay in the IEM world, Tin HiFi’s T Series is now in its fifth generation—and this one is taking sound quality to new levels. Outfitted with never-before-seen diamond carbon diaphragm drivers, updated housing, and a Kevlar-plated cable, the T5 is an accessible IEM for the most demanding listeners. Experience exceptional bass responsiveness, high-end extension, and full-frequency smoothness—with an overall sound that’s transparent to a T.
Taking center stage in the T5 are its all-new dynamic drivers with custom-developed diamond carbon diaphragms. Meticulously engineered to mimic the structure of diamond, these diaphragms are the next iteration of diamond-like carbon (DLC) diaphragms, which deliver fast responsiveness, strong reliability, and vivid detailing. Developed by Tin HiFi with an enhanced molecular carbon atom structure and composition that more closely matches diamond, diamond carbon does the same things—only better. Significantly thinner, five times harder, and 60 percent stronger than DLC diaphragms, diamond carbon diaphragms are ultra-durable and heat-dissipating. These characteristics allow them to achieve a completely linear frequency response, cover an impressively large bandwidth range, and sustain near-perfect phasing.
To ensure that the rest of the T5 meets the standards set by its new drivers, Tin HiFi made some significant updates to its body and cable. Tuned to the DOC drivers, the T5’s internal cavities are outfitted with several unique acoustic chambers, each mathematically shaped to achieve optimal angles for sound wave reflection. On the exterior side, the T5’s shell is contoured by machine learning (a first for the T Series) for an ideal fit based on data from thousands of human ears. Optimizing material alongside design, Tin HiFi made each housing entirely from titanium for excellent durability and resonance. As a finishing touch, the team pulled out all the stops on an all-new cable for the T5. Made from high-purity OFC wire for strong signal transmission—and shielded with 200D Kevlar for impressive electrical isolation—this 4-core cable equals the T5 in strength, comfort, and sonic performance.
