Attention to All Owners T2 and T2 Pro!!!!!!! I f you already have bought T2 Pro or T2 and have frustrated from beginning, because of too much trebles. DO THIS MOD!!!! ( Start at 4:25 on video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bj8TVuYi4g Firstly, I was regret about my purchase of T2 Pro, and it was almost impossible to listen due to sibilants on highs and lack of bass, even was thinking to sell it. But luckily have found this suggestion on Youtube. And after this mod, T2 Pro becomes my favorite IEM now. Please, for this mod don't use foam tips. Use the silicone tips, as they provide more Bass. (my is Large tips from cheap KZ earphones). And I used just big piece of foam, squeezed (not folded as on video) and inserted inside the tip's channel. As result: less sibilants, more mid Bass and very tight/detailed Bass!!! Simple mod, but big difference in sound. Much better than Yinyoo V2....which is next to T2 pro. Now I enjoy every details which T2 pro provides, with no harsh on highs and more bass/ lows. If you have found my comment helpful, please finger up. Want to see, how many people will re-discover T2 Pro again and will change the previous opinion after this mod :)) With this new tuning T2 pro really shows what they are capable for. Big difference from "sell it" to my ''favorite'' IEM now. Enjoy. Regards, Kim

kimdeugYou also own a lot of headphones and I would like to know why so many IEM's? What makes you want to switch between IEM's to headphones? Don't you get an overall better sound with headphones vs IEM's?

MegazineWhat's your definition of "better sound?" IEMs really only lack soundstage compared to headphones, and that's just some of them. There are plenty of open and closed back headphones that don't have a very good soundstage and sound just as in your head as some IEMs. For me, the superioty isolation of IEMs leads to certain sonic qualities I can't get from me headphones unless everything is dead quiet, I have them positioned just right, make sure my glasses don't get in the way for a proper seal, etc. IEMs I literally just push em in and enjoy a consistent sound in any environment and on the go. And the fact that IEMs nowadays can have the same technical ability as headphones nowadays narrows their shortcomings anymore.

MegazineHi Megazine. Thanks for interesting in my topics. It is very pleasant that people start to recognize my passion. Yes, I have couple over ear cans and it is my hobby. Apart of my hobby and work I play in music band (once a week). Sometimes we are performing on stage, that's why I need IEM. In studio I prefer DT1990 pro or Audeze LCDX, but for stage still looking for good IEM around 100 -200$. I have opposite taste/preference than ''bad guy good review''. For over ear headphones I like more analytical sound, but for IEM more warm and smooth. Don't like BA (armatures) sound (sounds for me little bit too dry, fast but no punch, the sound is here but hollow, no body of sound), so prefer dynamic driver IEMs or hybrids. For mastering/monitoring my modded T2 Pro is enough to reveal all mistakes. For portable listening Ibasso IT01 and TFZ number3 . Regards, Kim PS : for stage Mee Audio 6 pro and 7, Canas pro and T3 are coming soon. IMHO: the best budget IEM for listening TFZ T2 And I like IBasso IT 01 so much, even thinking to buy IBasso IT 01s for more analytical listening

kawmicTo Kawmic Not sure about video test. There is a lot of discussion about his video. BUT: What I try to mention is a mod, which I have applied to my T2 pro. And the rest of explanation is my personal impression after this mod. Thanks.

BobNoDurThanks for correcting me. I dont have T2, but have now T2 pro and T3. Have seen on the discussion tree, that few people mentioned T2 trebles issues. Any way, this mod is very simple and fully reversible. Different ears -different taste. Regards, Kim

jaydunndidditSorry for getting back late with a reply. I always thought headphones offers a higher quality sound -- more accurate sounding instruments, more detail etc.. -- due to it's size in which it offers manufacturers more room for components (diaphragms, drivers etc.). Aren't IEM's only strength over headphones is isolation? I can't think of another area in which the IEM's has an edge over cans, right?

MegazineI am agree with your points. That's why not going above 200$ in budget for IEM. The reference point is 58X, 6xx, 4xx, 7xx, which are outperforming the IEMs in different characteristics. So, 200$ is my border line.

MegazineNo worries. When it comes to quality of sound and accuracy, IEMs and headphones live in the same camp. They just go about it differently. Driver size does have a lot to do about moving air, but at the end of the day it's all down to our brain to perceive whatever input comes its way. And it subjectively can't tell the difference sadly. So, one would think the HD 6XX would resolve and portray a level of accuracy not found in IEMs yet we forget that IEMs in the upper tiers are true stage monitors for musicians. If they lack resolution and aren't accurate, then why would a musician rely on them for a live performance? Or the fact that they is the same sort of balanced armatures that are used in hearing aids. Which again, strive for accuracy so one can hear. Again, these are devices that we're made for something very particular that have been adapted to fit the musical crowd due to their potential for perfect reproduction of sound. But of course, this tech costs money to get those high levels of resolution. Take the HD 6XX vs the Campfire Andromeda. There is nothing the 6XX does better than the Andro except maybe soundstage as that is the one thing IEMs cannot do well due to how they interface with our anatomy. Otherwise, by comparison, the 6XX lacks in resolve and accuracy as the Andro and it's 3D stage. Let alone the level of detail the Andro can pull. And honestly, there are few headphones that can touch some of the TOTL IEMs without spending 2-3 times that amount as well as having the gear to back it up. Of course, both lack in comparison to loudspeakers again due to how a speaker can hit both ears at the same time, which headphones and IEMs cannot. I guess that's a lot of words to say at the end of the day, they're all pretty equal depending on what you favor (soundstage, bass, resolution, etc). They all have strengths as well as weaknesses for each type to sound it's best and do it's thing. Which is what matters the most in the end. One isn't inherently better than the other else we would all be listening to loudspeakers for their ability send sound to both ears as well as hit from angles that a headphone or IEM never could. But, as you know, that's not the case and we buy headphones and IEMs and accept their shortcomings for a given scenario. Just a lot of give and take, really.

kimdeugThey don't have too much treble. They are actually a lot more linear than those baaaassssssy ones.
