Product Description
Though function-loaded watches bring a lot to the table, they tend to be gaudy and overbuilt. While dress watches look great with a collared shirt, they don’t offer much functionality Read More

Excellent and reliable workhorse
Have had no problems at all. Someone mentioned that the titanium gets scratched a lot. In my experience its not bad unless you are someone who works with a lot of machinery in close quarters

An impressive ABC watch you can wear in the boardroom
A titanium case and bracelet along with sapphire glass gets this watch on your shortlist. Add in impressive touch screen ability with ABC functionality and you have a compelling timepiece, powered by a CR2032 cell that should be around for years to come. Handily, it’s likely replacing this battery is a simply DIY exercise. Comes in an impressive box too with a lavish full colour catalogue and a “book” outlining the history of Tissot. 100m water resistance enables you to swim without fear, though diving is not recommended. However, two things that are not so good.
  1. You need to go online to download a manual for the watch!!! Really? Yes, and what’s more it is coloured poorly such that setting your temperature zone is a chore and even more peculiar, it omits functionality. Whether this is a deliberate ploy by Tissot to put some spice into their customers lives or shoddy proof reading remains to be seen. Can Drop get their Tissot rep to comment?
  2. The bezel is Omni directional but it’s way too loose, really diminishes the overall quality of the watch. Surely the Tissot mentioned in the accompanying book, boasting of its proud heritage, would have snuck in another washer or two or maybe designed it properly in the first place?
For those interested, there is a Timer function on second press of the Chrono. It’s OK but annoying to set as you only have a single button to set the timer, meaning it would take time and patience to set 3hrs 22min, for example. Even more frustrating, if you have a time you want to use often it resets to zero after the timer has run, making a simple re-run of previously set time another chore. Second, there is a neat additional function on the second press of the Altimeter. You can track your elevation gain, a bit like you can with the Casio ABC watches. Finally, there is a further option on the Compass. You can set a bearing and a digital “arrow” will direct you to maintain course. I have set the challenge, if anyone finds more, please post!

Lots of features, touch screen works well
Lots of features but you have go online to download the manual to set everything it can do. Touching the screen at different locations around the dial to activate the various functions is easy. Has a sleep mode to preserve battery life. Graphite dial and compass bezel is what sold me. Retails for about 3X what I paid so I’m happy.
