It's true, a cheaper version of virtually every product in the world can be found somewhere. You could spend $5 on a t-shirt, $10, $50.... does the $50 shirt "work any better?" That's tough to say... And of course far more expensive chopsticks than this can be purchased as well. Even in titanium you can spend $170 on a pair of chopsticks. Or $295 for sterling silver. And while around 500,000,000 disposable chopsticks end up in landfills each year, these are handmade by an artist who is proud of his work and each pair will last lifetimes, and will (hopefully) give the user far more joy and appreciation for their food than a cheap, splintering wooden pair. But you're right, the wooden ones do work for eating!
