I'm curious why you're asking why? If it isn't for you, then close the page and move along. Not intending to be confrontational, I'm genuinely curious.
Personally, I've owned a Leatherman since they first were created. I was 13 when I got it (still have it somewhere) and I've carried one model or another literally daily since then. I'm an ME/EE and usually use it several times a day, every day. People are always borrowing it as well. I can't imagine not carrying one. Actually, I almost always have a Leatherman, flashlight, and Sharpie at all times. Sharpie is optional, light and tool are not.
This is one of the few non-Leatherman tools I've seen that seems to be perfect for when you need a super low profile tool. Perhaps when wearing a suit? I do admit the comb seems a bit over the top, but if he had to balance the deign with another blade, why not? Also, I love that the creator is participating in the discussion. Thanks!
Very well designed. I went to his website and poked around, I'd highly suggest doing that if you're remotely interested. Gave a much better overview.
I find it very interesting that you don't see a use for this. Or something similar. It's odd how different people's lives can be. But that's what makes the world go around.
