Terrific amplifier, the only reason I didn't hang onto it was the heat. It will raise room temps 1-2f if you leave it on all the time. Over 250 ohm it goes class A, but doesn't heat up more than the 105f temp I got with a laser thermometer.
With a gaming computer in a room that gets warm, it was too much. Of course if your chilly where you are it'll be excellent. If you have a cat, the vent holes and heat may be bad, since it will be their new cat bed/warmer upper.

At this price, it's a great value. I don't entirely trust Topping overall quality (my A30Pro unit's power supply died one month after the warranty expired), but it was pretty good otherwise.

I wish Topping would add a bass boost to their desktop amps. The bass boat in my NX1s is awesome!

Oooh a whole dollar. Just buy from apos. You pay like $760 for the bundle A/D30 pro stack plus a nice pair of xlr cables. Why would I buy from Drop?

Would this "appropriately" drive a Hifiman HE6v2? What is the power output at 50ohms on the balanced headphone out?

I’ve got the A30 Pro and the HE6SE V2 (Adorama version). I can get it painfully loud if needed; the amp puts out 3.4W at 50 ohms. Plenty unless you’re determined to go deaf.

rodizzleI've tested it with the he6se and it can get them loud enough with a Topping d10b DAC right up until you hit -4db preamp reduction to equalize them. At -6db like for an autoeq profile it runs out of volume on pre volume war recordings like the extended version of Tonight, tonight, tonight by Genesis and some Fleetwood Mac songs like The Chain.
The A90d has more power balanced to take it further.

Sound is a little too forward for my taste. Dynamics are punchy and effortless. Lots of detail without congesting complex parts of the music. If you like a forward slightly analytical presentation you will love this amp. I got it for use at work and I have it paired with my D50 and Focal Elegy cans. I built a super low noise power supply for it as opposed to buying the one they sell. Its a great amp just a little too forward for me.
