I just received my A30/D30 combo. I found, to my surprise, that the line output of the A30 is fixed, i.e. is not controlled by the volume pot. Do other owners have similar experience, or is my unit broken?
Otherwise, the sound is very clean and smooth.

This is good to know. I believe they just pass the input directly to the output. I am looking for something similar also.

You can purchase a passive preamp by schitt it's $49 on amazon i use one on my powered monitors it's flawless requires no power and has two outs
