Wow! I don't think I'll ever recommend a dac lower than this one. I used to always recommend Schiit modi2, but this blows it away. Totally worth the extra coin. Even my non audiophile friends agree. I have not heard the new modi3 that just came out, so that could be a game changer, I dunno. However, if you're looking for a dac that has a full sound that's a little on the laid back warm side, this is it. I would recommend pairing with a very neutral amp. I've used usb and optical and everything sounds great. I'm using it with lake people g109, and it's warmed it up just enough that it doesn't sound stale. Tried it with massdrop cth and it also sounds excellent. Lots of depth. I'd recommend pairing with he4xx or something similar. I don't care for hd6xx, but i actually somewhat enjoyed them with this guy. If I compare it to the mojo, I'd say I enjoy both equally. But mojo is more analytical and versatile, and portable.
