OnslashAWESOME, was wanting to use this in my home analog system. The set up is simple.
  • My Chrome Audio 'Optic out' to the D50s Dac.
  • RCA out from the D50s into my Proton PreAmplifier.
  • RCA out to my Toshiba Power Amp's (running in Mono)
  • To my Old Pioneer speakers and BOSE Bookshelf from early 80's
I have a Cambridge Audio CD Player, Toshiba (1970's) Receiver, and Pioneer Turntable. Streaming Flac files from my pc using PLEX to the Chrome Audio. Just wanted a better DAC.

chame1i0nNot sure which Cambridge CD player you have, but I listened to a base model recently and I thing you'll find the Topping D50s is probably a better DAC. You might plug your CD player into it and just use the Cambridge as a transport. If it sounds better, bonus. If not, you've lost nothing by experimenting.

chame1i0nNo, the connection from cd to dac is digital ( coaxial spdif optical). Then from the dac to pre amp analog (rca outs from the dac)
