I have a type c to usb OTG adapter to connect the usb cable to the d50s. From the type c connection on my samsung s7fe tablet. Is this what I do to connect to my source...the tablet?

A lot of dacs, amps, dac/amp cbos $500 and below is all most need. The 789 for me enough power and has enough features for my pc setup paired with the O2 grace dac/amp. I would like put a balance hybrid tube amp and get balanced R2R dac just to change the sound not as an upgrade on sound quality as the sound signature I have now is great.

JDR2I was previously using the Topping DX3 Pro (V1, 2019 version via Drop, $175 USD) with my Drop + THX AAA 789 and have subsequently upgraded to the SMSL SU-9 DAC ('Black Friday' pricing, $391). Per other responses, this is on the small side, and there are 'better' options in the $300 to $500 range, with remote. My 'mix and match' or 'experiential learning' setup: Inputs to DAC:

PC via dedicated USB C Audio out.
BT 5.0 from Android and iOS devices.

Outputs from DAC:

XLR Balanced Out to JBL LSR310S sub, then XLR to JBL 305P Mk II monitor pair.
RCA Out to XLR (1 In : 3 Out) Balanced switch, then:

a. Drop + THX AAA 789, which was a good purchase in 2020. b. xDuoo TA-20, needed max volume w/ the Topping DAC, but V1 had assorted issues... c. SMSL SP200 THX AAA-888, currently evaluating. At some point, I will dust off the Schiit Vali 2..

The D50s is a great little DAC, especially if you absolutely need or would benefit from a small form factor. The downside is that the small form factor can also make it a bit difficult to use since everything is so small.

It's not clear if the price of the combo including the P50 is $225 or if I need to click 'Complete your setup', and add the P50 power supply for another $107. What is the final combo price?
