Do the RCA and XLR outputs operate simultaneously or is there an option to switch between them?

nick_tSounds great, very low noise! Im upgrading slowly from an all-in-one Topping MX3 (now the dedicated speaker amp running some klipsch RP-150M's), and waiting for the THX 789 to ship for headphones. The software drivers recognized the D70 with no hassle, included in the driver package are some files and tutorials for enabling DSD in Foobar 2000 which worked as well if you're into that kinda thing. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to set it as a dedicated native dac and disable the volume controls.

jackbkmpI heard you should first press "select" button before you turn on DAC, and then release this button. Then you will see on screen an option "work as DAC" or something like this. Select it.

moriarty_deanI've tried multiple itterations of this, both on the remote and unit itself. You cant seem to press 2 buttons at the same time and have it register both presses; only one at a time. Im assuming the menu they're talking about is the output select? XLR -> RCA -> BOTH. Nothing shows. Ill wait till someone hopefully does a video on it because Im stumped. I dont see a specified 'settings' menu.

jackbkmpSomeone from Audio Science Review forum had same problem and wrote to producer. Here is what they said: "I sent an email to the service Topping and voila the repence: "When you shut off the power, press the SEL button, and then turn on the power, you will go into the system setting, choose the mode DAC, then you can use D70 as a native DAC." .. and it works, super"

moriarty_deanI've seen this and this is what I've tried.. there is no menu other then the switching of inputs and outputs. 3 of the remote buttons dont do anything or bring up any menu. The left and right on the remote changes the input. The select on the remote and unit itself changes output. I read through the documentation and there is no mention of another menu. I turn the unit off, press select on either the remote or box for 1, 3, or 5 seconds (yes also just a tap) and turn the unit on and nothing changes. Try holding select on the remote and turn the power on via the units button, nothing. Pressing together doesnt work. Holding or pressing select as it boots does nothing. Etc. I'm just waiting to see how someone else does this when these units get into reviewers hands.

jackbkmpMate, a new tip. Check it, maybe will help: "To enter config menu in the D70, keep "Select" buttom pressed and then turn on the unit using the switch located at the rear (not the power button in the front)."

moriarty_deanHi, I cant seem to get it to work, if I press the physical power button and sel button it won't turn on, but if I hold the sel and use the power button on remote it turns on, but doesn't see any DAC mode menu I've tried that physical power button turns the unit on/off no problem, but just don't turn on when sel is hold. any suggestions?
