Cannot decide between this and massdrop SDAC +o2. Omg I have pros and cons on both sides. Some are anti Topping DX3pro and they are calling the measurements found online fake...

mattrisI have a lot of headphones, Including HD800, HD6xx, HD58x, Fostex PurpleHearts. I intend to use this at the PC with Audio Technica MSR7 mainly and maybe HD6xx/HD58x.

Woot-ZeeBetween the DX3 and O2+SDAC, I would go with the DX3 since it has various output modes, an LED, and additional digital inputs (coax, optical, bluetooth). But it doesn't have an analog input - or the tried and true performance - of the O2 line. Though at this price, I would recommend getting the xDuoo TA-01B and have fun tube-swapping. (I'd get one myself, but I already own the SMSL T1 and many easy-to-drive headphones.) You have some great headphones that would benefit from a tube and/or more power. Do you currently own a DAC, amp, or combo unit?

mattrisATM I own Benchmark DAC1 as my main DAC/AMP combo. Before I had a stack of amp and a dac, but I prefer the way of AMP/DAC units. As for tubes, I do not quite like them, maybe except Darkvoice 336se, but even that sound isn't to my liking. Thanks for the reply! :)

Woot-ZeeI prefer combination units, as well... and have my eye on the new FiiO M11 media player and the upcoming Topping DX7 Pro. I've read that the xDuoo TA-01B (with an upgraded tube for a smoother, clearer sound) is not very 'tube-sounding'. As I understand it, many of the recently-released compact tube amplifier models are transistor-driven and sound more like solid-state amps. I'm very pleased with the sound of my first tube DAC/amp, the versatile SMSL T1 that I snapped-up for $150 here on Massdrop. It doesn't have the power to drive my planar HE-4XX properly, but with my modified/EQ'd/pad-swapped Lasmex and Sivga headphones, it sounds amazing!
