This looks good and all, but for the love of god give us at least one analog input!
It's has a built in DAC. Maybe therefore it does not make sense to have analog inputs.
Headphone Amp only would be better for your requirement.
Many dac amps like this have an analog input that bypasses the internal dac though, so that source media is less restricted. Furthermore, if you prefer to use a different dac or upgrade to a better dac in the future, and want to use this as an amp, that's not an option. It is a little disappointing.
Yes, I understand. What I am saying is, either use this device as DAC+Amp or go for separate (better) Headphone amp and (better) DAC. Cambridge DACMagic Plus has all options that you are searching for. For sure there are others....
Yes absolutely. I just mean, it's a bit disappointing at this price point not to have the option to use it as dedicated amp. Many other similar models can do this, and with the constantly growing amounts of gear us audio nerds tend to acquire, it's important. You can't combo this with anything as an amp :( It's a huge flaw in the product that many may overlook, and changes it's usefulness / future proofing substantially.
