One thing that has me worried is the "Channel balance" spec.
If that is the maximum (or typical?) difference between the two channels then the specified value of 0.3dB is quite high!
Too bad it is not calibrated at the factory, as with the digital volume control any difference between channels will remain the same regardless of attenuation.
In theory humans only detect imbalance if it’s bigger than 3 dB, so 0.3 dB is good enough.
In fact this imbalance probably comes from the frequency response itself:
It was "20Hz-20KHz(±0.01dB)" for the DX7, and is now " 20Hz-20KHz(±0.35dB)" for the DX7s !
At first I thought this was to take the various new antialiasing filters into account, but looking at the response curve it looks relatively wiggly for a modern device : http://www.tpdz.net.img.800cdn.com/en/products/dx7s/dx7s-en-18.jpg
(still far from +/- 0.35dB though...)
I think I will wait for good measurements...
