Can you control the rear outputs and front separately? or when you plug in headphones does it mute the rear outputs? i want to use the rear XLR for studio monitor and the front XLR or 1/4 for headphones. Obviously when headphones are being used id like to be able to mute the speakers

TheProfosistNo auto mute function. You can select ouput lineout only/hp only/both via remote control. There are sellers for dx7 remote. But.... With lineout mode, the dx7s send max volume, but with "both mode" , lineout volumn is controlled by hp volumn. I guess you will suffer volume issue evrn if you buy remote.

GendohThe remote part isn't true - you can cycle between the three modes by double pushing the main knob/button:
- DAC only (rear output to XLR & RCA, no HP output) - DAC/HP (volume knob controls rear output and HP output) - HP only (rear output muted, volume controls HP output)
a little cumbersome, I switch between DAC and HP modes instead of using DAC/HP mode because of the stark volume difference (I have powered monitors that are very loud if set at headphone volume levels). It takes some getting used to be then it's pretty quick.
