stasiekThe DX7s is more expensive because it comes with an amp and DAC, but the amp is not that great. Most people just use the DAC section of the DX7s. Its basically a great DAC with an amp for convenience. The D50 is a great DAC, its a single end/unbalanced, but its cleaner (less distortion than DX7s). I am one that don't like amp/dac combos, it always ends up being a great DAC with a mediocre or just good amp or vice versa.

ArtifizI've seen the measurements. Amazing.
Any recommendation for a fair headphone AMP with line passthrough? Like if I wanted to go D50 -> HeadAmp -> powered monitors?
I'm currently using SMSL V2 -> LSR310s -> Neumann KH80 and V2 -> AKG K712/550
I'm also thinking about getting something at 600Ohms to diversify a bit.

ArtifizYeah same here. I'm a believer of the principle of single responsibility. In other words, I rather have two devices that each does one thing excellently than one does both half-assedly (sic).

stasiekThe D50 is not a balanced Dac like the DX7s is. The DX7s has two chipset one for every channel. If u interested on balanced if not even D50 does the job.
