Well, it was working fine last night. Logged on today and no sound. Display works fine. Shows USB + 48Khz. Windows 10 toolbar shows "Speakers DX7" sound at 100%. Exactly the same as what was working last night. Am going to try it on other PCs before crying out loud. Bought it in March and has worked flawlessly until this morning. Weird. It was running a THX 789, but I've tried plugging headphones direct into the DX7. No sound. Device Manager > Audio inputs and outputs > shows "Speakers (DX7)" and drivers up to date. If I plug the same headphone directly into the PC audio jack, sound works great. Is there anything else recommended to try?

SlickGipsydid you ever figure this out. I literally had the same thing just happen to my tonight. I've tried swapping between the HP, DAC, and HP + DAC without any change. Everything is properly detected from windows, but my headphones via 6.5 mm isn't getting any output suddenly. I have no idea why.

QuiksI am ashamed to say that it may be a combo of Windows 10 and my operator error. Testing on a separate PC can help clarify. Update all Windows drivers and make sure the software layer is not an issue. Plus, I had inadvertently fat-fingered the input selector on the THX 789. Between those two, are restarting the PC, it solved it. Understand your mileage may vary, but has been rock solid every since.

SlickGipsyThanks for the reply. I saw someone else mention keeping it unplugged for a while. I swapped my USB cable and left it unplugged all night. Today it worked without issue. I'm unsure which ended up helping as I swapped the cable to my PC last night as well as power cycling the unit. Maybe it needed to be unplugged for a more extended period? Who knows, but I'm happy it's working again.

SlickGipsymate, i had a similar type of thing. what it was is that you can double and single press the physical volume knob. single press changes through modes (you need to get back to usb), double press changes the output type (headphones, speakers, etc). by unplugging it you probably just reset it to the default.
