Does anyone know if you can switch the output from headphone to XLR. My current setup is a Schiit jotunheim and my only complaint is that i'd like to be able to use the volume control of the dac/amp to control the signal going to a pair of powered monitors.

clymer006You can run it in DAC mode where volume is fixed out, Headphone mode where the output is only on the headphone ports and controlled via the knob, or DAC+Headphone mode, where the volume knob controls volume out for both RCA/XLR out plus Headphone out at the same time. Note that using two headphones reduces the power output overall on the headphones, most likely a shared circuit.
