A word of warning: I own the NX2 which is an improved version of this and I don't like it one bit. At first I was impressed by the 100+ hour battery life which is amazing for just a 1000mah battery, but when using it I realized it doesn't use much power because it doesn't do much. It hardly amplifies the signal. I first tried it with full sized headphones, could barely hear the music. My IEM's didn't get amplified either, even the most sensitive IEM's it couldn't drive properly. The DAC portion of it doesn't sound any better than my Note 3.
So what's the point of this little amp/DAC? It's cheap and has a long battery life. But it doesn't improve the sound at all and it doesn't even amplify a noticeable amount. Definitely not enough anyway, not even for IEM's.
Avoid.

SteelyDExactly my findings with the NX1. It actually decreases the output volume before applying supposed "amplification". Which I cannot tell if it is doing that or not because of the decrease prior to this supposed "amplification". Steer clear
