I suspect that these will not adequately power AKG 340's at 400 ohms. I'm not sure which number I need to look for in a portable amp to find one that will. Any suggestions as to what I need to look for would be appreciated.

JimClarkI have AKG K340s that I have lovingly nurtured for nearly 40 years. This little DAC/amp brings out the best in these very special headphones. I have never heard them sound so good; for some reason this combination results in the best balance I have ever heard between the electrostatic and dynamic drivers. I use the high gain setting and with the volume knob at 4 o’clock experience all the power I need to mimic what it used to be like playing in the brass section of a large orchestra.

AdrienneBought on amazon.... 1st one channel imbalance- significant.. The OTG cables only the usb to micro and 3.5 worked. the pairing with the 6XX lacks punch,needs more power but since it is portable use it with the line out for better sound, with less power the DAC doesnt drive it.... with my ultrasone sounds awesome, tight bass really well balanced.
