This looks like a quality item from Topping. Given the price, its serious contender for the money for anyone looking for a portable DAC/AMP with decent power output. The only thing I don't like is the separate USB port for input and charging. The FiiO Q1 MkII has one USB port that does both, but switches off the charging depending on whether the device is connected to a smartphone (charging off) or PC / charger (on).

LuckyLuke575No. I have the Fiio Q1 MKII and it doesn't switch the charging off when connected to a smartphone (which will get discharged as you listen to music). You need a special OTG cable for that, which is not provided with the device. Having two usb ports is a clear advantage in my opinion.

ripelle22No bud, you're making a mistake; the OTG cable supplied in the box switches the charging off, I tried it again just now.

LuckyLuke575Then you had more luck than I had. I tried all the usb cables I had on hand and none prevented the phone from charging the Fiio. I suspect that some phones can detect the OTG device connected and cut off the flow of current. But not mine. That issue is well documented in lots of reviews online. But I am not complaining as I knew that going in. It is still a good little device that I would purchase again.

ripelle22Oh yeah, I have an iPhone so I suppose with the MFI certification it works perfectly, but it could differ for Android phones or different makes.
