Great board so far. I would rate it as my third favorite switch behind beamspring and SKCL/SKCM Alps. I swapped in ultra light BKE domes and changed the housings and caps to Hipro. I personally found the 55g too heavy so go with the variable if you're a light typist.
The feeling of the domes collapsing has no equal in the Cherry MX compatible world, it's simply unique. The 55g model feels amazing, way better than the Realforce RGB, the extra resistance of the 55g domes vs the 45g ones makes a difference here as does the sound. The sound is actually quite similar but the one on the RGB is higher pitched, higher frequency while the one on the 87UB is lower pitched, with a little bit more bass.
The PBT keycaps feel amazing despite being quite thin. When I first pulled out a keycap I was actually surprised of how thin they are. Nevertheless, the texture is just right and the profile is decent. The black dye subbed legends on dark gray keycaps combination is pretty cool, enhancing the black case looks. The PBT spacebars bundled with the keyboard here on Massdrop are hit and miss, some of them look really cheap but in the end they are a nice extra. I also installed red blanks from KBDFans on the Esc and Enter keys for enhanced aesthetics.

The keyboard itself looks and feels a little dated but let's say it has a classic look to it. It's also very well built.
A major drawback is the lack of compatibility with the Cherry MX keycaps but there are rumors that the new models will actually have it.
Yeah, it's a cliche but it is one of the best and most expensive rubber dome keyboards ever! In the end I like it even more than the Realforce RGB.
Topre is touted as one of the finest KB brands and this lives up to that standard. I use it at work and never give a thought to swapping it out. Buy it
Love this keyboard. Nice to think that keyboards have been holding my typing speed back. Maybe make believe, but my WPM has increased and there's no block when I'm in flow. Also, you can use it without any problems with iPhone XR and a Lightning dual-charge/'camera' (USB) connector.
I received a black Realforce 87U the last time this drop ran. This is not my first Realforce. I already own a white 87U, and a 10th Anniversary 87U. I'm just a fan of this design and, seeing that the new R2 version eschews with the classic, old-school Realforce design, I decided to pick another one.
My opinion remains the same: this is one of the best pre-built keyboards money can get you. The tactility of the 55g domes is sublime, the sound is music to the ears (oh, that glorious thock!), and the build quality is top-notch. If you're not a touch-typist you'll have a hard time using the black version, so keep that in mind.
All in all, you cannot go wrong with this board.
P.S.: I thought about taking off a star due to the PBT spacebars — yeah, they suck ass — but that would be unfair to the greatness of the classic Realforce 87U.
Great price, great product. It's my first Topre board and can't I express how much I like this. I'd compare it to my 87-key brown-switch Filco board since that was my favorite, until the arrival of this one.
The electro-capacitive switches are quiet, unlike all other mechanical switches that either goes silent or noisy, this board strikes a good balance between tactility and comfort, that it will absolutely work with office environment. It actually sounds like membrane keyboard in my opinion, but it comes with much better overall construction as expected, and the clickiness is totally comparable to any other mechanical keyboards given the quality, except that if you're into tactile bump like any other keyboard with blue or brown switch.
Stock PBT keycaps are excellent, and the PBT spacebars provided are solid except that the black spacebar is a bit scratched already on delivery.

The white one works well though, thus the black-white setup at the end.

Honestly this should be my endgame as it totally suits all my needs. I don't need gamerish ones and neither do I care about 'performance' of a keyboard , I don't really think that matters much but the construction and premiumness. This Topre board will stay long on my desk.
Basically a rubber dome keyboard
In reality, feels good to type on and is sturdy, good weight, looks good, has the perfect amount of keys, I would recommend it to anyone that feels the price is worth it to them
