The Ultimate Survival Knife

Created by the Brothers of Bushcraft—a coalition of men across North America focused on sharing wilderness skills—this burly full-tang fixed blade is well suited to a wide range of outdoor tasks. And that’s not just because of its utilitarian drop-point blade or its grippy linen micarta handle, either. In fact, the knife has a host of other features that set it apart. Starting with the pommel is a scraper for ferrocerium rods to help you start a fire. (Three rods are included in the tubular pocket on the sheath.) Moving on, it’s got designated dimples in the handle that can be used as a socket for the fire bow drill method if you prefer that. Also included is a survival whistle to signal for help in an emergency, and a Kydex sheath for carry.

Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice between 1095 carbon steel and 154CM stainless steel (+ $35). Multiple handle colors and blade finishes are available for each option. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we can only ship this knife to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.

Choose a Blade Steel

Two different steels are offered on this drop: 1095 and 154CM. 1095 carbon steel is known for its toughness and ease of sharpening, making it a good option for outdoorsmen. 154CM stainless steel is more corrosion resistant and harder, allowing it to maintain its edge longer, requiring less frequent sharpening. The blade is a whopping 5 millimeters thick, so it will have no trouble standing up to heavy duty jobs. As for the blade’s grind, it features a Scandinavian Grind, which is effective for carving, skinning, and general woodwork. The jimped thumb ridge helps achieve more control for precision tasks.
