I use this as a rider for my large fixed blade and ended up using it more than my large fixed blade. It can dress small game easily and performs minor bushcraft tasks really easily. You can drill a hole in wood easily without breaking off the tip, you can feather stick decently, you can carve out a spike point for your spindle. It does pretty well with gardening as well.
this knife is just great and beautiful I just replaced the oar chain of the paracord which is much betterI clearly recommend this 3 fingers neck knife without any hesitation
I got this knife reading that it was a mini scandi grind knife. It is not at all a scandi grind. It's sabre ground. I contacted TOPS and they said its scandi because if you extend the primary bevel it will eventually intersect at 0mm thickness. Then they put the secondary bevel on the knife. To me that doesn't make sense. All sabre ground knives if you extend the primary bevel they will intersect at 0mm thickness.
Second complaint is the sheath won't accept belt attachments like teklok and mollelok. Just drill your holes in a standard distance apart so people can modify them to their liking.
Overall it seems nicely constructed, but I can't get over their false advertising and odd choice of hole spacing.
A really solid knife, holds an edge well. A bit longer than described, so I can’t carry it at work. Definitely a quality knife though. Glad I bought it.
I've owned my share of knives but I really don't know too much about them in terms of build quality, but to me this feels like a pretty high quality knife. I got it for the purpose of carrying on hikes, and I've used it several times on foliage, extracting splinters, and opening bags of gummies. Perfect little knife, but the sheath is cheap happy meal toy garbage. It doesn't really matter much but I'd have been much happier with a slightly better sheath.
Mine came sharp with nice fit and finish. My only complaint is that the sheath is only good for hanging, in that the grommets are set at an odd distance that won't accept other single clips, or Tek Loks, or really anything else I tried. Not a big deal, but it was a bit of a surprise when punching the hole a half inch off would make it accept a variety of clips. It's just a small gripe, it's a nice little knife.
