TOPS Mini Scandi Folding Knife
A Versatile Cobalt-Enriched Flipper
Fixed blade knives are TOPS’ bread and butter. But the Mini Scandi folding knife’s solid execution is testament to the company’s ability to diversify its offerings. Composed of canvas micarta, the handle feels more like a fixed blade knife than most folders. The blade, which is revealed with a press on the flipper tab, is made from Bohler N690Co stainless steel. This cobalt-enriched steel from Austria has a very uniform grain structure, as well as good corrosion resistance and edge retention. Blade lockup is safe and stable thanks to the liner lock. The clip is positioned for tip-up carry on either side. Whatever side you carry it on, you’ll know: The skeletonized clip design makes it more of a standout than others.
