I’d skip this store brand. Drop that $200 on a Seiko, bulova or a micro brand.

Getting a chronometer grade cert on a HAQ is simply a matter of sending them in for testing, it adds extra expense, and most makers don't do it simply because passing the test is a given, it wouldn't be a high accuracy quartz if it couldn't pass

As usual with Tourneau they provide great deals. You don't often 👁 chronometer grade quartz, and these have it ✅ I can't find ℹ regarding the specific movement of the ⌚ but I'm sure it's high end 🤔 At least for the chronograph, I guess it has the ETA Flatline Chronograph family 251.264 with 2️⃣7️⃣💎 because in one 📸 we have 2️⃣ big chronograph seconds 🖐🏻 (in reality one for seconds, one for minutes) and I'm guessing this measures 🔟th of seconds considering the sub sphere with 🔟 markings https://www.eta.ch/en/our-products/quartz-movements/flatline/eta-flatline-chronograph-251264-bd Check this 📽 for another movement, within the same family, measuring 🆙️ to the 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣th of a second https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ADjssgR7uI there we find out important features:
  • The chronograph 🖐🏻 go back to 0️⃣ almost instantly like you have in a mechaquartz or a mechanical movement https://www.eta.ch/en/our-products/our-exclusive-technologies
  • The movement is 🌡 compensated.
  • You get ➕➖🔟 seconds accuracy every year.
  • It's COSC certified which finally leads me to 💭 this is the caliber we're getting inside this ⌚
For the 3️⃣🖐🏻 version I can only make the educated guess it has the ETA E64.111 with 8️⃣💎 because that one can get COSC certification as well with ➕➖🔟 seconds each year https://www.eta.ch/en/our-products/quartz-movements/flatline/eta-flatline-e64111 It seems these ⌚ we're released @ 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ https://www.tourneau.com/watches/pre-owned-tourneau/sportgraph-stainless-steel-quartz-344-1001-4153-VTR02101.html Anyway I 💭 the Bulova Precisionist, the Longines VHP or the Grand Seiko 9F will have better precision, but at a much higher price . (except Bulova) https://www.watchtime.com/featured/high-accuracy-quartz-guide-longines-vhp-breitling-bulova-citizen-chronomaster-omega-grand-seiko-9f/ I like the styling indeed 😃

The comparison to Zenith is made in the sense that both are able to measure a 🔟th of a second. Many mechanical chronographs are only able to measure an 8️⃣th of a second so as you can 👁 the Zenith El Primero is special in that regard. I have the Tag Heuer Grand Carrera 3️⃣6️⃣ which uses a heavily modified Zenith El Primero with linear seconds & rotating 💾 Also, that ⌚ uses a rotating bezel to allow an easy reading of the 🔟th of a second.

For an automatic movement, you can really measure 🆙️ to the 🔟th of a second with a "single movement" let's say because when a mechanical ⌚ measures the 💯th or even less you practically need another independent movement inside the ⌚ The reason is that the power reserve for such a fast chronograph is paltry, usually less than 2️⃣ hours 😐 I wanted for a while the Zenith Defy 2️⃣1️⃣ which can measure a 💯th of a second but I found the movement to be delicate (not in a good way) and prone to having issues when resetting the chronograph 🖐🏻 so finally I stayed away...

Not sure how you can have a “certified chronometer” Quartz. Surely the three hand photos are of the automatic.

LuxfareOf course you can. COSC has a chronometer standard specifically for quartz, it includes an average rate of +/- 0.07 s/d. https://www.cosc.swiss/en/certification/quartz-movements

Good price for a Swiss watch, the silver dial chrono is my pick, also a size that should please most; love the bracelet.
