Product Description
The Tourneau TNY Series 40 automatic watch collection is inspired by the vibrant architecture of New York City. Sculpted with a stainless steel case that’s fortified with screws and extra protection on all sides, the watch wears a tad larger than its slim 40-millimeter case might suggest Read More

I'm waiting for my GMT to arrive. It was in CA last week, but the eta is Nov. 13. I forgot how long purchases on Drop take to arrive.

My GMT arrived this morning. I opened the box and it has a nice weight to it. It is well made and the movement under the display back is strikingly beautiful.

Just received mine yesterday. One thing that really surprised me was the sandwich dial. The lume poking through the black face is sweet. The Seconds hand on my GMT model is a little cheap looking, but overall I'm super happy with this purchase. Just +7s in the first 24 hours of wear.

I've ordered the steel GMT model for the price it's a great deal imo. I'll probably change the strap to a racing strap with red details to make the watch look a bit more sporty. Currently checking out either the Hirsch Ayrton, Robby or Carbon as an option (see pics)

I haven't received mine yet but it looks like the bar is screwed in through one side like on Panerais. I'll probably ask the watch shop where I'll buy the strap to change it for me.

Yup, it’s a screw bar. Real pain. My pet peeve is a waterproof watch with a leather band. So I changed it to a silicon racing type band like the OP. Just a great looking watch that keeps great time. Obviously not a premium piece but certainly has the feel and looks of one.

I like the movement but I don't like the GMT design.

After reading the comments about drops lack of response I’ve decided to not buy this watch or anything else from drop and I’m unsubscribing from future emails. Maybe if more people do this they will get their act together.

A 2893-2 under $400 sounds good the chrono however i didn’t take the time to research the movement but I would think it would have to be a module and I’m not a fan of modules even on an eta

Yes all ETA 2️⃣8️⃣9️⃣❎ movements are modular. Even the GMT. This caliber family is regarded as superior to the Valjoux in case of the chronograph. This price is great as well as the movement inside, you should try that. It's true however that the usual route in case of the module failing, is to replace the whole module. But this caliber is regarded as very reliable so it would be rare that you have any sort of issue.

That’s why I didn’t do my research I’ve gotten a little lazy lately but I knew I could count on you to clarify thanks again

$620 for automatic Swiss chronograph or $380 for GMT watch are nice deals!

In this drop, it's $619 (chronograph price) - $240 (GMT discount) = $379 GMT - TNY400401003 (-$240)

Thanks for the clarification. Unfortunately, by the time I checked on this yesterday, they were already out of stock of the steel GMT model. Bummer for me.

I wish we really knew who manufactured the watch. $379 for a automatic gmt is a pretty good deal

Thanks, the pics were really useful. This watch just sits up too much for my liking, there's no tapering effect at all; it's just -bang; and a vertical wall up from the strap. I would like to eventually get this ETA movement. But again thank-you ,helped me dodge a bullet; I nearly did order.

Yeah, I ended up passing it too. Was tempting to get GMT on a good movement for so little, but a watch should also fit one’s style and personality.

In the spirit of trying to help those still deciding, here’s a watch from this series (although a different model): https://chicagopawners.com/products/tourneau-tny-series-40-3-hand-automatic Offers some good real life angles – can see how the bezel is thin but high.
