Travel-Friendly Guitar With Massdrop-Exclusive Appointments

When music is a travel must, pack the Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light. Measuring 28 inches long and weighing less than 3 pounds, it’s the smallest, lightest full-scale acoustic/electric guitar ever made. Available exclusively on Massdrop, this special-edition model features an all-natural non-ebonized rosewood bound fingerboard, a non-ebonized rosewood bridge, and real mother-of-pearl inlay. The maple for the body and neck is sourced in the eastern United States and given a natural satin finish. The 24.75-inch scale—the same playable area as a standard-sized guitar—houses 22 medium frets, while the Piezo bridge pickup lends a warm, acoustic quality to the sound. Complete with chrome hardware, D’Addario EJ15 strings, and an in-body tuning system, the Ultra-Light also has a removable lap rest for comfortable playing while seated.

Note: This is a solid-body guitar. When played unamplified, it sounds slightly louder than an unplugged electric guitar, with an average volume of 65dB measured at 3 feet. Limited to 27 units.

About Traveler Guitar

Inventor Leon Cox built the very first Traveler Guitar in his garage workshop in Redlands, California in 1992, using old tuning machines, spare conduit, and wood salvaged from a discarded bar top. The first model was sold in the local music store and on sales trips throughout California and Arizona. Today, Traveler Guitar’s product line includes a range of electric and acoustic guitars, available in 30 countries worldwide.
