I wouldn't buy something from someone that either doesn't understand their own product, or doesn't care enough to accurately report its specifications. "Noise-Cancelling" has a very specific meaning, and there's nothing 'passive' about it. @Wolfent has it right: These are "Noise-Isolating Wireless Earbuds".
And, what's more, Massdrop should require that product descriptions be correct. You lose your 'cred' when you aren't sticklers for accuracy.
These 'buds' aren't for me.

swestYes, this is false advertising, and reflects poorly on the manufacturer as well as Massdrop.
Not cool.

swestThese do provide a certain level of active noise cancelling as you will find out when using them in the wind ( not good, but great when mowing the lawn), but you are correct about the vague specification

Apple_islerAre you saying that there is an input microphone on the the earbuds that an embedded microprocessor is using to create a negating waveform that is applied to the source output before delivery to the ear?

swestThat is what active noise cancelling inplies. There is a small opening on the side of the right hand unit that is used to emit a flashing dual colour status LED. It may also double as a microphone. The best way to find out is to email Trelab for more information. I live in a very windy place (Hobart, Tasmania), and I have observed that when i use them in the wind, there is a lot of induced noise that is not there when not wearing them. Additionally my passive ear buds (Zero carbo basso) do not do this. So from this i can accertain that they do have active noise cancelling.

swestBy the way, I decided to try to figure out what they mean by, "Noise-cancellation: СМС 6.0".
It turns out that this, probably, refers to "signal" noise rejection from external devices, not audio noise.
Also, a search for "CMC 6.0" turns up nothing of any use.
Frankly, I won't care how good they sound, or how cheap they are, until the "Noise Cancelling" feature is removed or explained.
