phoenixsongThat’s actually a pretty good graph, if it’s an accurate representation of what these can do. You can distinctly see the centers of each frequency range covered by a separate balanced armature, with bass as good as a BA-only IEM can manage. Other than some eq’able bass dropout, these stand a chance of sounding great. Much better than the “glue and pray” approach favored by KZ. I might just give these a shot.
3-5khz isn't sibilant necessarily and its not necessarily harsh either, it will add punch to drums and bite to everything else. The fact however that the scooped mid range and treble roll off characteristics combined with this will make the 3-5khz plus 6-10db boost quite noticeable and the iem should have a distinctive V shape to it without sounding too bright.
The KZ ZS10 actually has a less tasteful graph

with less low end frequency extension and less high response increasing the amount that the 2-5khz spike in this case is heard as it sticks out like a sore thumb
QwervyIf we wanna look at KZ, doesn't the AS10 have a more comparable driver configuration? Either way, the ZS10 may have a worse graph but I haven't decided to drop any money on those either so I think I'll keep it that way with these.
jakob.sYes, you are right. I wrote that ages ago and most of the time when people think or thought of KZ they probably thought of the ZS10.

The Tripowin should have better high-mid/high extension and less bass. A smoother sound signature it seems overall especially when comparing the steep 15 db rise between 1k and 3k on the AS10 compared with the more gradual slope of 500hz to 2.7k on the TP10.
The Tripowin is however, definitely more bright so it looks more like a bright-more neutral V while the AS10 is more like a generic V shape.
The AS10 has a peak that doesn't stick up as much as the ZS10 and so neither TP10 or AS10 should sound as peaky as the ZS10 and the sub-bass extension + slightly more air on the AS10 will enhance the AS10's V-shaped-ness.
Both graphs are both very similarly tasteful with my preference leaning towards the TP10 for that slight high extension and smoothness. However the AS10 whilst slightly less smooth is not necessarily peaky and I wouldn't call either sibilant.
