These are really great if you're looking for a fun V shaped IEM, I really enjoy them for more casual listening or just playing a chill video game. The construction of both the IEM and the cable are topnotch!
Over the last 2 years I have aquired about 25 sets of IEM's, (Which I am slowing down on future acquisitions) I categorize my collection into 3 different levels. 1 being favorite, 3 being least favorite. These are definitely a "1" probably in my top 3 of my collection. What I have learned is that there is some subjectiveness to picking what you like. A good friend got me into this game, our tastes are similar, but mine tend to be towards the heavier bass. So, I like some thump, whether it is there naturally, or I can EQ it to my liking. The HBB Mele's provide me with both. They are flexible, so when I EQ them I am please with the response. Some IEM's don't EQ well, but these fit my sweet spot. I added silicon tips from Aliexpress, and NiceHCK GoldenFall 4 Core Litz Silver Plated Furukawa Copper Cable which I picked up on the 11/11 sale. I have posted my test songs in other posts, but I go with "Tears For Fears", "The Eagles", "Rush", "Halsey", "Pink Floyd", "Cole Rolland", "Queensryche" to name a few. I love this setup, and certainly would recommend it as these are built well, sturdy, and well priced.
This IEM has a very pleasant tuning and solid technicalities. It is not really superb in any one particular area, nor does it have any glaring weaknesses. This is a generalist IEM, not a specialist, and in that role, it serves its purpose extremely well. For many people, this could easily be a “one-and-done” proposition, w/o the need for any other IEMs, but those looking for a very unique IEM that stands out in one specific area should look elsewhere. It has great timbral accuracy, with a better balanced overall tuning than the BLO3 (w/o boomy bass).
