I'm not a huge fan of these. Conceptionally, yes. I can basically turn any one of my many iems into a bluetooth iem using the appropriate rubber ear adapter that connects the iem to the bluetooth/amp portion. So I bought all the possible adapters to use all and any of my many iems. The problem is the build quality of the rubber ear/adapters. I have several that have become intermittent with barely any use and it drives me crazy. I believe the internal wiring inside the adapters are crap and with some bending fray or break. I hope they improve upon this idea. I invested more than I should have in this inferior product.

StereoguyFirstly, you only need either the 0.78mm 2-pin or the mmcx adapters, because the other 2 are basically irrelevant! Also to say get just a 2-pin to mmcx adapter or vice versa can cost around $25 for a quality set or $11 or so for cheaper ones whereas you can get these for around $7! However, secondly these are seriously bad, you can't get more then around a month of regular daily use before the charging contacts strip & you are unable to charge the units! Personally I say if aptx is a must, get the get the BT20S, not the Pros you won't have the charging issues, if aptx isn't needed (& honestly it hardly makes a real difference) , get the BT20's they're half the price! Finally, go with the Fiio UTWS3's which also have charging issues but it's easily fixable, (you just have to keep the charging contacts clean, with the TRN's the contacts are so sharp they strip the contacts on the units so cleaning them is irrelevant) or go with the Fiio UTWS1's that have aptx & a carring case that holds the units & the split micro USB cable & TRN ripped off the design & concept with the BT20's!

joshhalb1joshhalb1 Im not sure what your takeaway was from my post. I said I bought all the available adapters because I wanted/needed them for the iems that I currently own. Your opinion that they are not relevant are your own. Honestly, how much are we talking about per extra set of adapters? My biggest gripe was with the build quality of the over the ear rubber adapters. I have several that are intermittent as stated thus ruining my experience using them. Beyond that, I honestly don't know what else your reply was about. Are you advising me to try different adapters? Some other stuff about charging ports and aptx and then some advice/opinions on a Fiio?? All I said was these things are not my cup of tea because of build quality. I'm honestly confused by your response to me. No reply necessary as I don't really buy here much and therefore obviously never check the forums. I just happened upon this one and will probably never see your reply

Mine have dropouts constantly, even if my iPhone 12 is in my back pocket. I don't think they would be reliable if my phone were on top of my head. How do I update firmware or get a warranty replacement?

SchwingI've been experiencing the same... on multiple sources. I've tried them with my iPhone X, Pixel XL, Hisense Q9G tv, and Nvidia Shield Pro. All of them have connection reliability issues. I've also had lots of difficulty with remote volume functions when using them with my TV and the Nvidia Shield - they're either full volume or no volume at all most of the time. Occasionally everything works properly but the overall reliability is pretty poor so far. Hopefully this can and will be rectified via firmware update.

Does anyone know if these have firmware that can be updated? If so, how to go about updating it?

Are there any other similar products that are worth getting?

zha2zhaNot at quite the same price point as we paid, but the new Fiio UTWS3 are very similar. They started shipping in late December as well. I don't have the Fiio but I may try a pair when I get the chance. Hopefully the connection reliability issues with the TRNs can be resolved with a firmware update.

It will be cheaper on Aliexpress on 11.11 and includes free shipping (which is rather fast, at least to my country). Not worth buying here and dealing with typical Massdrop hiccups.

Does anyone have issues with charging using usb-c cable? When I try to use a cable that I use to charge all my other devices, the cable sort of pops back out slightly and charging stops. It seems like the usb socket is recessed, pushing the cable out. After some fiddling it stays sometimes and continues charging if I am careful not to move it. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue? Seems to work OK with the cable that comes with these, but it's too short.

NMWISENot all type C cables are made the same, some are more recessed than others. If you put the two cables side by side, you should see that the metal part of the plug is longer on the one that works well. In my understanding, there is no strict standard for how long it has to be, so some cables and sockets are slightly out of sync with each other :)

NMWISEI have 3 sets of these & the USB type C connector on each of them has exactly the same problem as you are having, I have to jam the cable in really hard & leave the case open to see if the red charging light stays on because the cable keeps disconnecting! TRN rushed to get this product to market before Fiio did the obvious upgrade to the UTWS1'S with the UTWS3'S!

@TWD-Industries Does this model has a built in mic, allowing the user to use it for calls as well? I don't see any mention about this in the specs, so I am assuming that it does not come with one, but i might be wrong on that one, your answer would be?
FiR3Kyeah, it has a mic

I would def get these if they were made with a better chipset! the QCC3020 is one of the worst available unfortunately (no aptx hd/adaptive? :(). When someone comes out with this but using a QCC5144 I'll jump at the chance to buy!

Got mine yesterday and did pretty well with my Tin T2 plus iems, but you've gotta make sure that the contacts are actually touching before closing it, have to rotate the items slightly to make em sit right in the case. Judt feels like they could have made a little bowl on the middle of the case and open it up and allow more room for more iems, and the potentially big tips people can put on em.

Just received mine, I was using OEaudio wires and felt that the audio clarity and quality fell significantly after using the TRNs. But I can accept this for a much comfortable commute with it being wireless
