We spoke to the vendor earlier today and were notified that the clear and black units have experienced some manufacturing delays and are going to need an additional 2 weeks to finish. Based on this estimate for competition these should arrive at our warehouse the week of the 30th.
We are working with the vendor to see if there are any other avenues to get these in sooner and will be sure to update the group if anything comes up, as this delay is going to mean the ship date will be quite a bit ways out from the estimated ship date in the drop description page.
We understand this delay is rather undesirable. If you prefer not to wait for the IEMs and want to have your order cancelled, just email reach out to us at https://www.massdrop.com/support, and we will process the refund right away.
If you prefer to wait for the IEMs expect another update from us on 3/31 or sooner if something comes up.
So the Chinese vender blatantly lied to you guys about their fulfillment capabilities, which explains why you can't get these at any reputable vendor right now before the first week of April. I'd personally like to know what MassDrop is doing to get better about their shipping estimates?
Given the amount of sales that you push through, I'm surprised you can't work out a more stable method of securing the product that you are selling. I was really hoping to have these in time for my insanely long flights to Asia and back. Kind of a shame.
Agree. Whenever I talk myself into buying something on Massdrop, that involves weighing the inconvenience of waiting for it to ship. It seems like every time I do pull the trigger, the estimated ship date I've convinced myself was acceptable turns out to have been a complete fiction anyway. Eventually I'm going to get burned out and jaded, and just assume I'll be waiting 2-3 times longer than the already barely acceptable stated estimate. Chances of my buying anything at that point are close to nil.
If Massdrop cared, perhaps they could do the following:
Option 1 (easy): Be more honest / less foolishly optimistic on shipping dates.
Option 2 (less easy): Improve supply chain to actually cut down the shipping delays.
Option 3 (hard, good business practice): Do both option 1 and 2.
I'd rather be surprised that something came early than disappointed and completely unsurprised when I wait more than a month to get something I saved $5 on.

this was a total waste of time, i already bought a pair of ATH IM70s. i remembered this after seeing an mass drop advertisement on youtube.
@HassanS any update on this yet? Expecting to hear something today... Its been pretty long and most of us have been prrreeettyy patient so far...
I see you're more patient than I am, 'prrreeettyy patient' doesn't cut it. I'm seriously disappointed, this is my first experience with Massdrop and I'm fairly sure it's also going to be my last.
I must say I'm starting to feel less and less hopeful. I'm thinking this will be my first and last purchase too.
