100% comfy
Through your painful Grado band out. Was a P.I.A. at first, but shape it like a fruit roll up and it goes on in seconds

Quality, Stylish, and Comfortable upgrades to Grado Prestige
As other reviewers have suggested, the "legendary" Grado fit & finish leaves much to be desired for many (including myself) who absolutely love the way many of their products sound. This headband is a very welcome upgrade that significantly boosts appearance, comfort and fit - as for the quality - stitching is excellent, flawless hide, and supple head padding all lend to a very nice looking and feeling piece of leatherwork. I opted for the coffee colour on my SR80e to set off the otherwise black plastic ocean, and love the result. The installation process may look frightening to many but it's straightforward and well worth the experience. My only issue? I'd love to upgrade the headband on my Beyerdynamic DT880 Editions, but as those headphones *barely* clear my gargantuan head on the stock headband, I fear replacing it with a more thickly padded one will render their fit unwearable for me.

Well constructed and well padded. The backing on my pad was extremely stiff. So much so, that it made it very difficult to thread through the curved metal band and made it difficult to bent the band back to it's original shape. The band was also about 1/2" longer than the space allotted. In retrospect, I should have cut 1/4" off of each end rather that compressing the band itself to make it fit, but I'm not sure it that would cause the ends to fray over time. I'm pleased with the ultimate results, but it did not have to be so difficult. Maybe steaming the leather before installation might have made the lather more compliant, If I had a second set of Grados I could try that. So I recommend, but with reservations.

Simple meeting of the beauty with great craftsmanship. Perfect replacement for my worn-out DT 880 premium headband.

RedHotEminemIn the picture is Dekoni Jerzee, but the best (sound-wise) is the Dekoni Choice (Choice Suede), in my opinion.

Great product
Well made and reasonably priced. However, it is slightly longer than the original and will need some effort to install. The padding is much thicker which makes for a more comfortable wear. However if you have a large head, and almost out of adjustment range for your headband, you may want to think twice.

Perfect upgrade for my Grado 80e
The materials are sturdy and well put together. After a little trial and error I was able to get the headband to push all the way through. Be patient or you'll end up with a gouged band or bent metal on the Grado band. But after the effort, the fit and comfort over the stock band are great. It also added some much needed style to my headphones.

Nicely crafted & very comfortable
I bought this headband for an almost 20 year old pair of Grado SR80s. I love the way these headphones sound but during long listening sessions, I always found them uncomfortable, particularly on the top of my head. This headband essentially solves that problem. The headphones now feel like they almost float on my head. SR80s have a pretty utilitarian look and this headband really elevates the overall appearance. As many have said elsewhere, this leather headband is really difficult to slide over the metal band that connects the two ear pieces. I don't know if this is a manufacturing defect or an intentional part of the design (by making it so snug, I imagine it guarantees the headband won't slide or bunch up). Not a deal breaker, not even a reason to knock off a star. Just prepare yourself for a few minutes of cursing.

Good to hear! I briefly looked at my sr80e. I have no idea how one would remove the band. Do instructions come with the Turbulent Labs headband?

GramblorI don’t think it did. Even if it did, it probably was very simple, and perhaps why I can’t remember well. I ended up searching online and found a few videos on removing the band. Most simply instruct to remove it by force, which leaves those with units that have the band glued out of luck. Structurally, the metal band has holes on each end that slide into the left/right clip(s) and latch on to a round shallow nub/bump inside each clip. If you’re lucky, you can just pull it out with a bit of elbow grease. If not, you’ll have to find a way to break/weaken the glue.
